 Dawn FryChild & Family Specialist As an Advocate for Children and an Ambassador for Peace I teach families and childcare educators friendly communication skills that include nonviolent language and non-punitive conflict resolutions. I have devoted more than twenty-five years of my life caring for children and learning from them what they need to feel nurtured and loved. I started teaching what I had learned because families and caregivers kept asking me to teach them what I do -- what I have learned from children. They say that when the student is ready that teacher (the information) will come. There is a critical mass of people who seek alternatives to traditional authoritarian childcare practices. Having a licensed childcare in my home gave me a divine opportunity to learn some deceptively simple truths about caring for children. The more I learned the happier the children became.
