Jeanne has been providing labor and postpartum support and teaching Early Pregnancy, Childbirth Preparation, Breastfeeding, and Parenting courses for almost 20 years. She is certified as a Lactation Specialist (UCLA), Childbirth Educator (ICEA), holds a California State teaching credential, and has been Birthing From Within trained. Jeanne is also a certified “Happiest Baby” instructor.

Jeanne is active on the board of BABI (Bay Area Birth Information), is a birth and postpartum doula, and has three children and two stepchildren.

She believes that women who are informed, empowered, and prepared have a much better chance of experiencing a safer and more satisfying birth. She offers evidence-based information on all aspects of normal birth (and its variations) to help expectant parents define their own personal birthing goals.

Her training includes, postpartum adjustment, newborn characteristics, care, feeding, and development, and the promotion of parent-infant bonding. She specializes in breastfeeding assessment, guidance, and assistance. She feels her role is to provide education and non-judgmental support. She offers evidence-based information and can make appropriate referrals.
