Founder, Director Birthing From Within Labor Workshop Kristin's passion is supporting and empowering people—at the individual, community, and global levels. She opened Harmony with Jennifer Penick and the support of many wonderful instructors and birth professionals, in order to provide women and families a place to find nonjudgmental support and information from which they may make informed decisions that feel right for them. Kristin is a DONA (Doulas Of North America) certified doula, an ICEA (International Childbirth Educator Association) certified childbirth educator, and is Birthing From Within trained. She is a founder of BABI (Bay Area Birth Information) and served as President of their Board of Directors from '03 to December of '06. She was on staff at Blossom Birth Services, in Palo Alto, for several years, and is a member of the South Bay and Peninsula Birth Circles. Her bachelor's degree is in psychology and her professional background was in crisis counseling, advocacy, and prevention education around the issues of sexual assault, child abuse, and domestic violence. www.idealbirth.com |
