Sara VaulesPostnatal Pilates Always having enjoyed the benefits of exercise, Sara has a background in dance, sports, and swimming. She found Harmony during her own pregnancy, and attended prenatal yoga with us to help support her strength and flexibility. She also found that she enjoyed the connection with other expectant moms and the great resource she found her yoga instructor to be. After the birth of her son, Sara accessed her Pilates and anatomy background to help retone and heal. She is now very excited to bring her knowledge, skills, and lots of new mom understanding to moms at Harmony, and to lead a class in this uniquely supportive and warm environment. Sara initially sought out Pilates training herself to improve her core strength, lengthen her muscles, and heal her sore low back and sciatica. While her career was on the corporate side, working in several capacities including sports marketing, advertising, and consulting, she began practicing Pilates and found that movement became more fluid, her swimming became stronger, and she was hooked. Practicing first as a student, then as a teacher she studied and certified originally with Tom McCook through the Physical Mind Institute. Through a strong commitment to daily practice and constant study, Sara lives what she teaches and is always looking to grow and challenge herself further.
