MultiCultural Music, Language, and Movement Play Classes


These unique classes combine music and language immersion for play time that also feeds those hungry, spongy little minds!

Babies, toddlers, and preschoolers are wired to absorb language at an incredible rate and are stimulated and thrilled by music. Music Around the World puts it all together so you and your child experience new languages through authentic children's songs, chants, dance, and free play with age-appropriate instruments in a fun and creative learning environment.

Incorporating scarves, bells, shakers, rhythm sticks, and so much more, children enjoy rhythmic and tonal play, singing, and harmony integrated with whole body movement and imaginative improvisation (for toddlers and preschoolers) which provide an incredible foundation for future musical, linguistic, and intellectual growth.

MultiCultural English
Classes include instruction in English, with songs and play in Spanish, Mandarin, French, and more with music from around the world.

Immersion Spanish, French, or Mandarin
No previous experience necessary! These unique music and immersion language classes introduce your child (and you, if you aren't already a speaker) to the language through the universal language of music.

The Music Around the World program was carefully designed to match your baby & child's developmental stages, needs, and capacities! These classes have been built over years of study and experience to engage children and parents, and give you a greater foundation for your daily play & learning (which for your child, are one and the same)!

Harmony instructor Jan Branham is warm and engaging, and was personally trained in the Music Around the World format by founder Julie Wong. More about Julie.

The class includes a music CD and a booklet with lyrics in both English and the original language (to support learning and play at home) -- a new set every 6 months!

In addition to the fun activities you and your child will learn and participate in together, music, language, and movement classes encourage confidence, stimulate brain development, and enhance cognitive, language, gross motor and fine motor skills. 

Join new and old friends at Harmony and sing, dance, and learn new songs and ways to encourage your baby’s innate love for music and bond with you!


These active classes stimulate musical and positive, communicative interaction between parent and child and include singing, dancing, playing instruments, stories, and more. Class also:
- Channels toddler’s energy productively,
- Facilitates healthy expression of feelings, and
- Assists memory through repetition.

And as always at Harmony, the small group atmosphere offers lots of individual attention and fosters community.

Cost:
Fall Session: $118 Early Bird by Jan. 5 - for 8 week session
$128 for 8 week session - after 1/6
(Prices are per child with 1 or 2 caregivers) (Twins/Multiples discount of 10% OFF)
Materials: $25 for Music CD and Booklet containing lyrics in original language and English. A new CD and booklet are available twice per year, for all classes you take within 6 months. Fee to be paid directly to instructor at first class.
Min/Max: Minimum class enrollment 5 / Maximum 9
Attendance
Policy:		 If you must miss a week, you can attend a make-up class at any other Music Around the World location. We cannot offer credits or refunds, due to small class sizes.
Sick Policy: iPlease do not bring children to class with an active cold or fever. Residual sniffles or cough are ok, if you feel confident it is no longer contagious.
