Before coming to your first drop-in yoga class at Harmony:
We look forward to meeting you!
There is no advance registration necessary to come to a Drop-In class at Harmony, but there are a couple of things that can make your first class at Harmony a little smoother.
- If this will be your first visit to Harmony, PLEASE take a look at the map and directions on our website, to help you find us easily. We are in a small complex, so unfortunately, the directions you might get from another mapping site or GPS often do not do the trick!
- If you have not already, create an account online now, to minimize paperwork when you arrive before your first class. This does not involve any commitment... it just puts you in the system, so you don't have to write out the information by hand in person.
- Purchase class credits (just 1 or a discount package) online before you come, to further streamline your check-in process before class. This way, you can check-in easily, get settled, and relax into your first class without waiting in a line, fishing for payments in your purse, and processing a payment hastily before class (or afterwards, when you are peaceful).
Also: Class credits are good for any day, and will not be "used" until you actually show up for a class and sign-in. Basic Credits apply to all pre- and post-natal classes -- and ALL are good for 3 years, so you'll always be able to use what you purchase.
- Please try to arrive 5-15 minutes before the scheduled class start time. This will give you time to do what you need to be at your mat and ready to begin when class starts (including check-in to class, remove your shoes, empty your bladder--again, change clothes if needed, find a space in the room, collect needed props & blankets from the shelves, turn off your cell phone, sit, and breathe).
- When you do check-in with the instructor, make sure to let her know it is your first time doing yoga at Harmony. She'll give you a welcome packet, get your signature, and make sure you know where everything is that you may need.
- Always be sure to participate at your own body's comfort level, and let the instructor know when you have questions, or any physical limitations, pains, or difficulties. Prior yoga experience is not necessary, as our classes are always tailored to the participants' needs, but can only be so if we know your needs!
- Enjoy, connect with the other participants if you desire, and let us know any ways by which we can improve your experience even further. Have more questions? Try our Frequently Asked Questions page for more information.
Namaste!
