 Parent & Me Flamenco Movement
Introductory Series
For Ages 3 - 7, with an adult
or Ages 6 - 7 without an adult
Harmony is thrilled to host this incredible class, taught by internationally renown dancer, choreographer, and master teacher Carolina Lugo!
This gorgeous, culturally rich class is fun and educational for both boys and girls, and focuses on development of musicality to 8 count rhythms, coordination skills through arm and body movements, and basic footwork patterns (kids love to stomp!), and serves as a general introduction to the expressive rhythmic beats of Flamenco.
Flamenco roles for males are powerful, expressive, upright, and somewhat matador-like, allowing for exertion plus the beginnings of precision and control.
Female roles are also powerful, expressive and engage flourish, with a still strong and confidant poise and determination in each movement.
Carolina's class is tailored to benefit both parent and child. Together, they will learn basic technique and the start of a short choreography that Ms. Lugo will develop for the class to dance together in her 3rd Annual December Student Showcase, for parents who are interested in participating.
Carolina has dedicated herself over the last twelve years to preserving the lineage of artistry by teaching the art form of Flamenco-Spanish dance, to a new generation of artists and dancers. Minimum registration 4 parent/child duets, maximum 6 parent/child duets.
Advance registration is required and space is very limited.

If a family knows in advance they cannot attend Memorial Day weekend, there is also the option of registering for the series of 7 weeks, at a cost of $160 before 4/30 - $168 after 4/30 or $112 child only before 4/30 - $119 after 4/30.
Drop-Ins are welcomed, as long as the minimum registration has been met:
