Pure Prenatal YogaDrop-In, Mixed Levels Prenatal yoga is a wonderful way to embrace and experience pregnancy, increase strength and flexibility, and prepare for the journey of labor, birth, and the new role of motherhood. Prenatal yoga helps to strengthen and tone the physical body; eases aches and physical discomforts that come from added weight and shifting center of gravity; relaxes and calms the mind; and nourishes the spirit of both mom and baby. Many of the common discomforts experienced during pregnancy, including low back and sciatic pain, insomnia, and swelling respond well to regular practice. Through the practice of mindfulness, breath awareness, asana practice, and guided relaxations, women can support their physical health and strength while learning what works for them to aid them in surrendering to their experience. Yoga also helps to train the mind and body to work together to soften and open which is essential for labor, birth, and motherhood. Prior yoga experience is not necessary, as classes are tailored to individual needs. When should I start? What should I bring? Find these answers and more. Registration is not necessary for drop-in classes. Please feel free to come on any of the below days/times. Credits may be purchased online in advance, or in-person when you arrive for class (please arrive 10-15 minutes in advance if needing to make a payment/purchase).
*Basic yoga credits may be used for any Prenatal Yoga class (Whole Birth & Pure Prenatal), as well as all post-natal classes, including Mom & Baby and Just Moms classes, are valid for 3 years, and are not refundable.
